As the oldest flour company in the U.S., it’s little surprise that King Arthur Flour Company has baked its way to growing success. Now its $4.01 million, second-stage expansion in Hartford, won’t just mean new food manufacturing space; it also means 45 new jobs in the next three years.
The Vermont Economic Development Authority provided $3.5 million in state incentives, a move that solidified the company’s plans for a 23,900-square-foot food manufacturing facility in the Billings Farm Commercial Park. King Arthur Flour will keep the facility it’s currently leasing, using it as a web-order fulfillment center and warehouse.
